If you are working in a corporate, there is then a 15% chance in the US that you will come across a paychopath. It could be your boss or someone from management, or some team leader. Are corporates really equipped to deal with it? The answer is an absolute no.
Without going deep into the characteristics of psychopaths, it is enough for us to understand that they are manipulative, ruthless, take sadistic pleasure in tormenting you in various ways and at the same time show the sweetest of their manipulative sides to their bosses, management or people who can have an impact on their careers. How do you then deal with such people esp. if they have a bearing on your life and career? The only way to beat them is to expose them. They thrive in manipulation and don't allow the top people to know of their misdeeds. At the same times, when people do complain about them it falls on deaf years as it is not easily visible. What they fear the most is that everyone will know what they really are and do.
So expose them. It is a relentless fight. You will lose hope many times, but it is necessary for your peace of mind and general well being. The HR is generally not equipped to handle those situations. And management doesn't seem to care. These psychopaths thrive in such situations as they become emboldened that no one is catching them red handed.
So expose them.
