Corona and BMC elections 2022

Staring at a certain defeat in BMC Mumbai elections, Shiv Sena, the party which had backstabbed BJP to join hands with the opposition parties to form the state government, has been trying to push it further and further. Even the High Court has repreimanded the state government for pushing it forward surreptitiously under various reasons.

Now they have latched on to the hope that COVID cases are increasing in Mumbai. Yes hope...because while for people it is scary, for them it is a hope to push the elections even further.

Even in the last BMC elections, BJP inspite of winning huge number of seats, didn't contest for the key positions and committees and showed mistaken benevolence to Shiv Sena.

Shiv Sena has another hope...to side with NCP and Congress and tide over somehow. But that victory too will be a defeat as wherever congress gets into positions of power they go on a corruption rampage. 

I am eagerly awaiting the BMC elections. I want to see with my own eyes whether people will punish the incumbents.
